Walt Disney World Accessibility Project Seeks Wheelchair Users and Companions

Project Overview

The company is seeking wheelchair users and their companions for the Walt Disney World Accessibility project. This initiative aims to create a dynamic production that highlights Transfer Access across attractions at Walt Disney World & Disneyland, celebrating real experiences and authentic representation.

Roles

• Wheelchair Users: Individuals who use a wheelchair in their daily life.
• Ambulatory Companions: Individuals who will be cast alongside wheelchair users.

Key Details

• Wheelchair users must be able to self-transfer using provided attraction tools (no assistance from companions).
• Seeking individuals of all genders, ages, ethnicities, and body types.
• Actors preferred, as this is a motion capture project with no dialogue.
• Must be comfortable riding multiple attractions in one day.
• Days may include early mornings and late nights.
• Casting will be done in pairs (wheelchair user + companion).

Dates & Deadlines

• Shoot Dates: June 21–25 (subject to change), with 8 talent total, 2 per day.

Location

• Must work as a local hire to Walt Disney World (travel costs not covered).

Additional Notes

• Minors must have a Coogan Account.
• All talent should be comfortable with a full day of park activity.
