The Ogunquit Playhouse announces a live open call audition for youth performers for the role of Understudy for Michael Banks for their upcoming production of Mary Poppins to be presented at the historic Portsmouth Music Hall Portsmouth, NH.
Production Timeline
- Performance Run: December 2nd – December 20th, 2026.
- Rehearsal Start: Monday, November 16, 2026.
- Rehearsal Schedule: Takes place during the day, both during the week and on weekends. Schedules are set by Stage Management.
- Rehearsal Location: Ogunquit; ME.
Role Requirements
- Seeking male identifying local youth performers.
- Seeking local non-AEA performers with local housing.
Compensation & Logistics
- This is a salaried position.
- Housing is not provided; performer must have their own local housing and transportation.

Audition Details
- Audition will be held in Ogunquit on the Ogunquit Playhouse Campus.

The cute and cheeky son of Mr. and Mrs. Banks. Excitable and naughty, he adores his father and tries to be like him. Both he and Jane misbehave in order to get the attention of their parents. Please prepare provided sides, monologue and song. Hard copies will be available at the audition. Sing both the Jane and Michael sections of The Perfect Nanny. Callbacks to take place at 2:30pm on the same day. If called back, performer must be able to attend to be considered.
