Casting Local Families for TV Commercial and Print Advertisement

Project Overview

A casting opportunity is available for real families to participate in a TV commercial and print advertisement.

Important Note: Only local talent will be accepted.

Roles

• Real families with members aged 5 to 80 years old.
• Ethnic diversity is strongly encouraged.

Dates & Deadlines

• Video submissions must be received by 11:58 PM on Thursday, April 9th.

Video Submission Instructions

• Each family member should submit their own video, under 1 minute long.
• Video Setup:
  • Have someone hold the camera so that the bottom of the frame is between the belly button and the bottom of the rib cage, and the top of the frame is at the top of your head.
• Introduction:
  • State your name (and age if under 18).
• Answer One Question:
  • Option 1: Are you a dog person or a cat person, and why?
  • Option 2: What's a fun fact I wouldn't know about you just by looking?
  • Option 3: If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
• Action:
  • For kids 10 and under: Hold up two options off-camera, look at them, decide which you prefer, and point to it.
  • For adults and kids 11 and older: Step into frame and look just to the side of the camera, showing either:
    • Option 1: Notice your kids playing and pause to watch them.
    • Option 2: Notice a friend walking toward you and greet them with a smile or wave.
• Final Shot:
  • End with a head-to-toe shot, ensuring the camera captures from the top of your head to your feet.

Each submission must be under 1 minute. If your audition exceeds that, you may be doing too much.
