Teen Singers Needed for Pirate Musical 'Treasure Island'

Project Overview

Directors are seeking local young singers aged 14 and above for the Pirate Musical 'Treasure Island'. This musical adventure is based on the classic tale and promises to be an engaging experience for both performers and audiences alike.

About the Musical

When a pirate stays at the Inn run by Jim’s mother, it sets the stage for an unforgettable adventure. After receiving a treasure map from the dying pirate Billy Bones, Jim, along with a bumbling doctor, embarks on a quest to find the buried treasure. Along the way, they encounter a motley crew of pirates who pose as innocent crewmates. Jim’s kindness even touches the heart of the tough Long John Silver, highlighting themes of friendship and sharing.

• Submission Deadline (self-tape for 1st round): Monday, March 23rd, 2026
• In-person Callbacks: April 17th, 5:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m
• First Table Read: May 17th, 2:00 p.m - 5:00 p.m
• Music Rehearsals: July 7th, 8th, 9th, 5:30 p.m - 8:30 p.m
• Choreography Rehearsals: July 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 5:00 p.m - 8:30 p.m
• Staging Rehearsals: August 4th, 5th, 6th, 8th, 9th, 10th, 13th, 6:00 p.m - 9:00 p.m
• Tech Rehearsals: August 14th - 17th, Approximately 11:00 a.m - 4:00 p.m
• Performance Dates: August 19th - 29th, with two shows daily at 11:00 a.m and 2:00 p.m

Compensation

• Non-union performers will receive $2500, which includes rehearsal and performance dates.
