About the Project:
'Authors of Hope' aims to empower students by illustrating how they can shape the meaning of their experiences, even when circumstances are beyond their control. Through authentic stories, reflective practices, and impactful media, this presentation encourages young people to recognize their potential for growth, resilience, and hope.
Roles
We are looking for young individuals aged 16 and above who have meaningful lived experiences of adversity. Ideal candidates will have stories that reflect courage, purpose, and personal growth. This is not about having a perfect narrative; we seek real, honest, and redemptive stories that encompass challenges such as difficulty, pain, loss, or identity struggles, leading to a journey of compassion and hope.
Compensation
Selected participants will receive $1,000, which covers:
- Consultation during pre-production
- One day of filming on location
- Participation in story development and interview preparation
- Provision of approved photo or video assets to support the narrative.
Additional Information
This presentation delves into how personal narratives shape perceptions of life and future challenges. We invite those who have navigated adversity and emerged with valuable lessons to share their journey.
