This memory play, narrated by Tom Wingfield, explores his life in 1930s St. Louis with his overbearing mother, Amanda, and his painfully shy sister, Laura. Tom, the sole provider working a monotonous warehouse job, dreams of escape while Amanda pressures him to find a suitor for the delicate Laura.
