Teen performers are invited to audition for the play '1984'. Please review the details below.
Roles
- All roles are non-AEA and considered volunteer positions with a stipend ranging from $400 to $1200, based on the size of the role and the length of the play.
Dates & Deadlines
- First Read: Nov 29
- Tech Rehearsal: Jan 17
- Opening Night: Jan 22
- Closing Night: Feb 21
- Rehearsal Schedule: Five days a week, Sunday-Thursday, 6:30 PM - 9:30 PM
- Performance Schedule:
- Fridays at 7:30 PM
- Saturdays at 1 PM and 7:30 PM
- Sundays at 2 PM
- Most full shows have a six-week rehearsal period, with a break on the Monday before opening.
Audition Requirements
- Prepare the following:
- One contemporary comic monologue (1930s-present), 90 seconds or less
- One contemporary dramatic monologue (1930s-present), 90 seconds or less
Additional Information
- Callbacks for specific shows will be scheduled on dates to be announced.
- Cast members will be called as needed, and the schedule is subject to change.
Note: Only local talent will be accepted.
