Looking for a boy aged 8-11 for the musical production of 'Big Fish'.

About the Project:
Based on the novel by Daniel Wallace and the 2003 Tim Burton film, Big Fish follows Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to the fullest through fantastical stories that enchant many, except his son, Will, who aims to find the truth behind the tales. This is a small cast edition – all actors, except Edward and Will, will play featured roles and serve as ensemble.

Dates & Deadlines

  • Rehearsals Start: June 8, Sunday through Thursday evenings, with possible Saturday mornings/afternoons.
  • Tech Week: July 19 - July 23.
  • Performance Schedule: July 24 - August 9, with performances on Fridays/Saturdays at 8 PM & Saturdays/Sundays at 2:30 PM. (Note: 2 Saturday matinees on August 1 & August 8, no Saturday evening performance on August 1.)

Compensation

  • Stipend: $300 for all actors.

Audition Requirements

  • Bring a headshot and résumé.
  • Prepare 2 songs for initial auditions: 1) 32-48 bar medium/up-tempo song and 2) 16-32 bars of a more lyrical piece.
  • Readings and dance/movement will be done at callbacks.
  • Be prepared to list all conflicts for Sunday through Thursday evenings and Saturday morning/afternoons (Saturday rehearsals are TBD). No conflicts allowed during Tech week or Performance dates.
