Seeking Kids and Teens for 'Hairspray' Musical Production

Project Overview

Equity chorus dancers and singers are needed for the Playhouse's 2026 Season show 'Hairspray'.

Roles

• Dancers: Prepare to showcase your dance skills. Wear comfortable clothing with heels or flats.
• Singers: Bring a short cut of a contemporary up-tempo or ballad in the style of the show.

Dates & Deadlines

• Audition Schedule:

  • Dancers: 9:00 AM (E) and 2:00 PM (E)
  • Singers: 11:00 AM (E) and 4:00 PM (E)

• Rehearsals: June 27, 2026 - July 10, 2026 (Day off on Sundays)

• First Preview: July 15, 2026

• Opening Night: July 16, 2026

• Closing Night: August 8, 2026

Location

Rehearsals will take place in New York, NY.

Compensation

• Weekly Rate: $959 minimum (Tier 1)
• Round trip transportation and housing in Dennis, MA are provided.

Additional Information

• Performances: 2 PM/7:30 PM, with a total of 8 performances a week.
• Dark Days: Sundays.
