Casting Fluent Teen Speakers for AAPPL Video Project in Virginia

Project Overview

Casting highly fluent teen speakers of Arabic, German, Portuguese, or Spanish for an upcoming AAPPL Video Project.

Roles

• Eligibility: Only local actors from DC, VA, and surrounding areas will be accepted.

Compensation

• Rate: $300 for up to three hours of in-person filming and a one-hour rehearsal via Zoom.
• Additional Compensation: $40 to cover expedited mailing of the Theatrical Permit application.

Requirements

• Theatrical Permits: Required for actors under the age of 16. Parents must complete and mail the appropriate forms, with instructions provided.
• Parental Involvement: For actors under 18, a parent or guardian must sign a permission form in advance, be present during the one-hour rehearsal via Zoom, and attend the in-person filming.

Filming Details

• Dates: One 3-hour block in late April or early May 2026 (exact schedule to be determined).
• Location: In-person filming in Alexandria, VA. Local applicants from the D.C./Baltimore/Richmond areas are preferred.
• Travel: Actors are responsible for their own travel arrangements and expenses.
• Health Protocols: Health and safety protocols may be implemented as needed to comply with CDC guidance.
