Project Overview
Join the singing auditions for the play “Floyd Collins”. Please note that only local talent will be accepted.
Compensation
All performers cast in this production will receive a minimum stipend of $600. As fundraising and grant support continue to grow, the directors hope to increase artist compensation beyond this minimum whenever possible.
Submission Requirements
Performers are encouraged to submit work that authentically reflects their artistry, storytelling, musicianship, and stage presence. Please submit 1-3 of the following:
- A video of yourself singing a folk, Americana, country, bluegrass, Appalachian, roots, or similarly styled song.
- Performance footage from a past or current production.
Rehearsal Schedule
Rehearsals will take place October 1-17, 2026, primarily in the evenings and on weekends in Portland.
Performance Date
Sunday, October 18, 2026, at 7:00 PM.

These performers will portray townspeople, rescue workers, reporters, and members of the community surrounding the rescue effort. Strong singers with excellent storytelling instincts are encouraged to apply. Ensemble members will help create the rich communal world that surrounds Floyd's story.
